Terms & Conditions
Please read this information carefully:
1. All offers, “Hong Kong Motivates” programmes, the prize draw and familiarisation trip are only open to all bona-fide UK-based event organizers over the age of 18 and residents in the United Kingdom and Republic of Ireland.
2. Upon completion of the Request for Proposal (RFP) online form for these motivational programmes, you will:
- receive all six “Hong Kong Motivates” programmes for your information.
- be entered automatically into a prize draw for a chance to win ‘Your Chinese Horoscope 2010’ guide.
- you will also have the chance to be invited onto a familiarisation trip to take place in May 2010.
3. The “Hong Kong Motivates” programmes are operated by six different DMCs as mentioned below. The provision for these motivational programmes will be subject to the terms and conditions stipulated by the respective destination management company. The 6 DMCs are:
- Pacific World - Celebrate Chinese New Year
- Associated Tours - Hong Kong & beyond
- The Destination Management Company - Hong Kong Rugby 7s
- Ovation Hong Kong - International Horse Racing
- Destination Asia - Eclectic Hong Kong
- Tour East - Taste of Hong Kong
4. Most of these motivational programmes requires a minimum participation of 20 delegates and are valid until 31 March 2011.
5. HKTB/MEHK is neither under any liability nor responsibility to the content and running of these motivational programmes. This include any claims, costs, personal injuries, death, losses, or damages of any kind arising out of or in connection with these motivational programmes. Availability are subject to the time of booking and must be made through the above-mentioned DMCs.
The Prize Draw
6. This prize draw is open to all bona-fide UK-based event organizers over the age of 18 and residents in the United Kingdom and Republic of Ireland. These terms and conditions and the prize draw will be governed, and construed in accordance with English law.
7. Chinese Horoscope Guide prize draw is valid from 17th February to 18th March 2010.
8. To be eligible, all participants must complete the RFP online form via HYPERLINK www.mehongkong.com/HKMotivates on or before the closing date of 18 March 2010 at 11:59 PM. HKTB and MEHK is not responsible for contacting or forwarding prizes to entrants who provide unclear or incomplete information or for entries lost, misdirected, delayed or destroyed.
9. The prize draw is conducted by MEHK London, a division of the HKTB. Entry into this prize draw signifies acceptance of all conditions. The HKTB/MEHK reserves the right to change these terms and conditions at any time and to suspend or cancel the prize draw or any entrant's participation in the promotion in its sole discretion.
10. By entering into the prize draw, the entrant agrees to the terms and conditions set out for this competition. The entrant releases HKTB/MEHK and any of its directors, officers, employees, agencies and sponsors (collectively, the "Released Parties") from any liability whatsoever, and waive any and all causes of action, for any claims, costs, injuries, losses, or damages of any kind arising out of or in connection with the prize draw and related activities (including, without limitation, claims, costs, injuries, losses and damages related to personal injuries, death, damage to or destruction of property, rights of publicity or privacy, defamation or portrayal in a false light, whether intentional or unintentional), whether under contract, tort (including negligence), warranty or others.
11. No purchase is necessary to enter or win. Only one entry may be made per person. All entries must be submitted through HYPERLINK www.mehongkong.com/HKMotivates. HKTB/MEHK is not responsible for entries lost or damaged, for incorrect e-mail or postal addresses or for problems with entries caused by any factors outside our control.
12. A random draw will take place on the morning of 19 March 2010 to select the winners.
13. The winners will be drawn at random from entries based on fully completed RFP online forms.
14. The prize winners will be notified by telephone/email, and will need to respond by midnight 26 March 2010 as to whether they are able to accept the prize. If a selected entrant does not meet all of the contract conditions, MEHK reserves the right to offer the prize to the next eligible entrant.
15. The prize winner who fails to contact the HKTB/MEHK by 26 March 2010 will have their prize forfeited. Any winner, whose prize has been forfeited, is not entitled to any payment or compensation from MEHK. MEHK reserves the right to award or dispose of the forfeited prizes in such manner and to such person as it deems fit.
16. As a condition of being awarded the prize, the winner shall participate in all required publicity. Except where prohibited by law, entry into the prize draw constitutes permission to use the prize winner’s name, address, likeness and/or prize information, without limitation, for prize draw purposes without further permission or compensation.
17. The prize is awarded “AS IS” and without warranty of any kind. A copy of the ‘Your Chinese Horoscope 2010’ guide by Neil Somerville, Paperback - Harper Element (May 2009) - 384 Pages, ISBN 0007281463 - ISBN-13 9780007281466.
18. HKTB has organised this prize draw in good faith and shall not be liable for any loss or damage whatsoever (including but not limited to indirect or consequential loss) for personal injury which is suffered or sustained, as a result of taking the prize.
Cathay Pacific Airways
19. Cathay Pacific Airways is the co-title sponsor and Official Airline of the Hong Kong Rugby 7s. They have the largest allocation of entry tickets to the 7s. As such, MEHK London will automatically forward your RFP for this programme to the airline for flight booking enquiry and admission tickets.
Virgin Atlantic Airways
20. HKTB/MEHK has teamed up with Virgin Atlantic Airways to offer special group airfares from £414 per person in Economy Class including all taxes and surcharges.
21. The minimum group size is 10 adults traveling on a return flight.
22. Airfares quoted are per person for return flights from London Heathrow to Hong Kong.
23. Airfares are available for event organizers over 18 and residents in the United Kingdom and Republic of Ireland.
24. Airfares quoted are correct as at 17 September 2009.
25. HKTB/MEHK is neither under any liability nor responsibility to the airfares quoted in these programmes. This include any claims, costs, personal injuries, death, losses, or damages of any kind arising out of or in connection with these airfares.
